Youth Group tonight was awesome and such a God-thing. For the next 40 days, im giving up internet for lent along with some other things. Sundays are our "little resurrection celebration" days where we celebrate Christ and are allowed to have our "give up" thing for that day. Sooo if you all wonder where i am during the week, now you know. I hope that God uses all these things when theyre away from my life to teach me so much more about His Son and to also fill all those time spaces with so much more of him, and so much less of me. hmm so lets see here.. i havent had a "real" update in forever it seems. This past weekend, amanda and i went to chicago to hang out in the city and visit mike. It was a total blast! Being with my best friend and boyfriend was a ton of fun Saturday night, mike and amanda had "arranged" stuff and mike surprised me and took me to the Grand Lux Cafe overlooking michigan street. It was the most beautiful and amazing place ever! not to mention romantic too! It was super great to just be the two of us:) other than that theres not much else thats too thrilling. Cheerleading is finally over. I guess it's kind of a bittersweet thing, but im definitely glad its done for the season. This year was def. trying, but through it all i learned so many lessons spiritually that i could have learned no other way. I got to bond with some amazing freshman girls and deepen relationships with others. I know God was with me this season- and thats the coolest thing ever. This year has definitely also been one where God is continually refining me and shaping me to be more like His son. It's such a crazy and painful process at times. Satan's arrows are so destructive, sharp and painful. There's no way i could go through some of those days without the grace of my Heavenly Father. I think everyday im falling deeper in love with Jesus. I want to know him on such a deep and intimate level! I fail so many times at this though...i dont deserve his love or his grace or his blessings.
